Roma child in the information society

On the basis of the analysis of documents as well as narrative interviews, the book presents the research on the topic of the situation of Roma children in Poland and Slovakia. It was our intention to show the participation of Polish and Slovak parents and teachers in preparing the children to cope at school. Special attention was paid to the issues connected with information and communication technologies which constitute important tools in facilitating the education of children in the community of Roma families as well as at kindergartens and integrated day care centers. W oparciu o analizę dokumentów oraz wywiady narracyjne w niniejszej książce zaprezentowane zostały badania na temat sytuacji dziecka romskiego w Polsce i na Słowacji. Publikacja prezentuje udział polskich i słowackich rodziców oraz nauczycieli w przygotowaniu dzieci do radzenia sobie w szkole. Szczególne miejsce poświęcono problematyce korzystania z technologii informacyjnych i komunikacyjnych, które stanowią ważne narzędzie w stwarzaniu warunków do uczenia się dzieci w środowisku romskich rodzin oraz w przedszkolach i świetlicach integracyjnych.
